This is Rotina, a 32-year-old mother of two children. She has a small business selling vegetables (cabbage, eggplant, and cucumber) in her community to earn a living. Rotina requested a loan to buy vegetable seeds, chemicals, a wheelbarrow, water tank, rake, shovel, and hand gloves to assist her in running the business.
Why a lot of people may not agree with me, I believe most people are good. They work hard to provide for their families to give them a real life. Compared to other countries, we have it so much better. I want to help people when I can I always wanted a better way to help people, so I found Kiva. Kiva is a loan company that works with lenders in various developing countries to get families and small businesses the money they need to support their business through the use of microloans. Microloans are just as they sound. You offer 25, 50,100,200 dollars to a loanee and in return, they pay you back.
I have just started donating to people, and my goal is to give 50.00/month as long as I can afford it. With every dollar I get back from different loanees, I will just put that back into another loan to help more people.
Everyone always talks about,” How are you going to leave your mark on the world?” I guess this is my way. It might seem small or insignificant to some, but to the people I try and help, it can mean the difference between them feeding their family or not.
